Another week has come and gone, and once again I have not had the best week. This week I lost all motivation to run. To be honest it was reading week and all I wanted to do was relax and not think about anything school related. Even though I have chosen to run for myself and my own mental and physical wellness, this week it felt like a really big chore to have to go on a run. I do not understand how one week, running is something I look the most forward to and then the next week I would rather chop off my left leg then put on my runners and go for a run.

This seems to be a pattern in most activities I start, at the beginning I am all excited and eager and within a few weeks I’m tired of it and wanna quit. I do feel as though this is a good learning curb for me, as this is something that my students will also experience in a classroom setting. Learning or trying to make a routine of something new, is not always easy and it takes time and patience. You have to learn to give yourself grace, and I may have gotten a little too good at this during my time with this free inquiry. As I say almost every post, next week will be better.

As you are probably assuming, no I did not try out a HIIT workout this week and yes, I will make it a goal to try one next week. My plan for next week, is to sit down with my planner and schedule my runs and workouts as if they are homework that must be completed. I will also be talking to a friend who has been running for many years and asking her how she feels running has affected her mental health. I have already started researching the effects that running has on both the mental and physical health of a person and can not wait to share with you some of the things I have learned next week in my blog post.
